SBI PO Syllabus details:

SBI PO Syllabus is of Three Phases 1. Preliminary Examination 2. Main Examination and 3. Group Exercises & Interview.

I. Preliminary Examination: This Exam is consisting of 3 Sections as follows…
1. English Language
2. Quantitative Aptitude
3. Reasoning Ability

II. Main Examination: This is consisting of 2 papers as
a. Objective paper: This paper consists of 4 sections such as
1. Test of Reasoning & Computer Aptitude.
2. Test of Data Analysis & Interpretation.
3. Test of General/ Economy/ Banking Awareness.
4. Test of English Language.

b. Descriptive Paper: This paper is consisting of Letter Writing and Essay.

The State Bank of India (SBI) conducts the SBI Probationary Officer (PO) Examination to recruit candidates for the position of Probationary Officers in its various branches across India. The SBI PO Examination is highly competitive, and it consists of three phases: Preliminary Examination, Main Examination, and Group Exercise & Interview. Phase I: Preliminary Examination:

The SBI PO Preliminary Examination is the first stage of the selection process. It consists of three sections:

English Language: This section assesses the candidate’s proficiency in the English language and includes questions on comprehension, vocabulary, grammar, and reading ability.
Quantitative Aptitude: This section tests the candidate’s mathematical and numerical ability. It includes questions on arithmetic, data interpretation, and mathematical reasoning.

The SBI PO Preliminary Examination is of a multiple-choice format, and candidates must qualify in this phase to advance to the Main Examination. The duration of the Preliminary Examination is one hour.

Phase II: Main Examination:

The SBI PO Main Examination is the second phase of the selection process. It consists of two parts:

Objective Test: The objective test includes the following sections:

Reasoning & Computer Aptitude: This section assesses logical and computer-based reasoning abilities.
Data Analysis & Interpretation: It includes questions on data analysis, data sufficiency, and interpretation.
General/Economy/Banking Awareness: This section tests the candidate’s knowledge of general awareness, current affairs, and banking-related topics.
English Language: Similar to the Preliminary Examination, this section assesses English language skills.

Descriptive Test: In this section, candidates are required to write an essay and a letter. This test evaluates the candidate’s writing skills.

The SBI PO Main Examination is also of a multiple-choice format, and it is followed by a descriptive test. The duration of the Main Examination is three hours.

Phase III: Group Exercise & Interview:

Candidates who qualify in the Main Examination are called for a Group Exercise and Interview. The Group Exercise involves group discussions, and the Interview assesses the candidate’s communication skills, leadership qualities, and overall personality.

The final selection is based on the candidate’s performance in the Main Examination and the Group Exercise & Interview. The marks obtained in the Preliminary Examination are not considered for the final selection.

The Prelims exam consists of three sections:

SBI PO Mains Syllabus

The Mains exam consists of four sections:
