Physical Standards

Height:

  • For All other States and Union Territories (except category mentioned below) : 170 cm
  • For Candidates Hailing in Categories of Garhwalis, Kumaonis, Gorkhas, Dogras, Marathas and Candidates belong to the State of Assa, Himachal Pradesh & Kashmir Region of UT Jammu & Kashmir & UT Ladakh:165 cm
  • For NE States: 162.5 cm
  • For All ST Candidates: Male: 160 cm
  • For ST of NE States & Left Wing Extremism Effected Districts: Male: 162.5 cm

Chest:

Minimum Medical Standard:

  • Eye Sight: Visual Acuity unaided (Near Vision) – Better Eye – N6, Worse Eye – N9, Uncorrected visual Acuity(Distant Vision) – Better Eye – 6/6, Worse Eye – 6/9
  • For PET-Race 1.6 Kms (To be completed within 7:30 minutes. )
  • 11 Feet long jump (03 Chances to be given)
  • 3½ Feet high jump (03 Chances to be given)
  • For PST Candidates who have qualified in PET will be screened for Height, Chest and Weight measurement. Those who do not meet  the required physical measurement as applicable will be eliminated at this stage. The candidates who are declared not qualified in physical standard i.e. height & chest may prefer an appeal on same  day, if they so desire, to the appellate authority  nominated for the centre through Presiding Officer. The decision  of the Appellate Authority will be final and no further appeal or representation in this regard will be entertained thereafter. There is no provision of appeal for Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

  • Candidate Should Possess Matriculation or 10th Pass. Must possess Valid Heavy Vehicle Driving License.
